Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League also lawmaker of Kushtia Sadar-3 constituency Mahbubul Alam Hanif called upon the newly formed Kushtia Nagorik Committee to play its role in the development of Kushtia very independently and impartially.
Hanif told this while members of the executive board of the newly formed Committee of the forum paid a courtesy call on him at his residence on Saturday evening. The first meeting of the citizens’ committee was held this afternoon in the conference room of Disha Tower. After the meeting, the leaders of the committee met Mahbubul Alam Hanif.
Mahbubul Alam Hanif said Kushtia is an old district established during the British rule but did not get the desired development. Research plans are needed on how to reach this backward district with its desired development goals. He thinks that this is possible with all the members of this civic committee.
But he said the biggest thing is to do it very independently and impartially. So that people of all walks of life can enjoy its benefits.
