Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said instruction will be issued on collecting tuition fees in educational institutions.
Dr. Dipu Moni said, ‘There is a dispute between many parents and educational institutions over tuition fees. Even after the closure of educational institutions, many institutions are charging various fees as they wish. For this reason, a guideline will be issued in this regard.
While the educational institution is closed, various fees including sports, milad-mahfil, lab fees will be canceled and the remaining money will be collected.
She said, “Those who have been affected by the Corona will be asked to implement this facility. No government employee was harmed in any way. So there is no need for any kind of discount for them. They have to pay the full amount.
Noting that many educational institutions have been severely damaged in the current situation, the minister said, "There is no problem with tuition fees in all educational institutions. We also need to focus on the survival of educational institutions. If the money is not collected, they will not be able to pay the teachers' salaries and allowances. Taking this into account, a guideline will be issued for the collection of tuition fees.
