He said this while distributing food items among the unemployed people at Mohini Mill ground in Kushtia at 10 am on Thursday.

He said the way Kushtia’s business community has come forward to help the needy has never happened before in the district. He made special thanks to the people involved in this event.

Hanif said there have been food shortages in the country in the past and many people have suffered in various ways during any disaster. But this did not happen during the tenure of the present government. This is led by our leader, our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Through this arrangement, food aid was started to be provided to the victims of the lockdown from a special fund set up in collaboration with the traders of the district. Food assistance will be given to 10 thousand helpless poor people in this event.

On the opening day, food aid was given to 3,000 people.
