Bangladesh government is considering to reopen the country’s educational institutions after about 11 months. All kinds of preparations have been instructed to complete by February 4. Government sources said schools, colleges, madrasas and universities will be reopened on short notice subject to improvement in the Corona situation.
The decision has come after a virtual meeting between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education on Thursday.
According to meeting, guidelines will be sent to all educational institutions in the country in a day or two.
The meeting was confirmed by the Secretary of the Ministry of Secondary and Higher Education Mahbub Hossain.
He told the media that the existing Corona situation seems to be improving. That is why the resumption of educational activities has been discussed. However, no date has been fixed for when the educational institution will be launched.
Minister of Education Dipu Moni MP, Minister of State for Primary and Mass Education Zakir Hossain MP, Secretary of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education Mahbub Hossain, Secretary of the Department of Technical and Madrasa Education Aminul Islam Khan, Primary and Mass Education Secretary Golam Hasibul Alam was present.
