This time Kushtia’s name has come up as a red zone in the official list. The government has declared 11 areas in 5 districts of the country, including Kushtia, which are at high risk, as red zones and declared a general holiday there.
On Monday (June 22) evening, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a general holiday in 11 red zone areas of Faridpur, Manikganj, Brahmanbaria, Narsingdi and Kushtia.
Earlier, at midnight day before, 26 areas of 10 districts were listed as red zones and a general holiday was declared there.
Ministry of Public Administration has declared these areas as red zones to control the movement / livelihood of the people considering the ongoing risk of the disease in the prevention and control of Kovid-19 disease. Has declared a general holiday there. This leave will include weekly leave.
According to the order, these areas will have general holidays for different periods from June 22.
According to the order, general holidays will be effective only in areas declared red zone. This leave will be applicable to all government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous, statutory and non-government offices / institutions / organizations residing in the Red Zone declared area.
This leave will also apply to all government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous, statutory and non-government offices / institutions / organizations located in the Red Zone declared area and officers-employees residing in other areas. The notification also said that the emergency services will be excluded from the scope of general leave.
The order also stipulates that there will be a 21-day general holiday in some red zones.
The government has identified the most affected areas as red, the least affected areas as yellow and the least affected areas as green zones. The red zone is being locked down, there is a general holiday. Steps are being taken to prevent further infections in the Yellow Zone. There will be caution in the green zone as well.
Meanwhile, Corona is increasing in Kushtia day by day. This day June 22 more 11 people were identified as infected with Covid-19. The total number of victims here is 395. A total of 41 areas in the district have been brought under the red zone. However, with various sources, this coverage may increase further.
