An initiative has been taken to give special power to police by amending the ‘Infectious Diseases (Prevention, Control and Eradication) Act, 2018’ to take certain actions against people who do not wear masks everywhere.

The state minister for public administration said on Thursday (May 13th) that people were going out but not wearing fully masks. He said it must make sure to wear a hundred percent mask.

“People come from different places, including district cities, city corporations, municipalities where crowds are high – we have the idea of wearing 100% masks in these places of connectivity, the minister said.

He added, ‘We have to make a plan in the long run. We have to continue activities and wear a mask. Our goal is to make sure we wear 100% masks.

The state minister said, ‘It is not possible with a few mobile courts. People need to be warned everywhere.

Farhad Hossain said, ‘Some people are not wearing masks, they are doing wrong. They now need to bring under law.
