The national flag hoisting has been made compulsory on Historic March 7. A gazette was issued on Monday (February 15) by the Cabinet Division amending the National Flag Rules-1972 in this regard.
Before the War of Liberation, on 7 March 1971, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman delivered a speech at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan.
In that speech, he called for independence with preparations for war.
