A father died in heart attack two hours after his daughter’s suicide in Kushtia’s Mirpur upazila.
The incident took place at Sultanpur village in Mirpur municipality’s 1st ward on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Mostafa Hossain, 55 and his daughter Shantona Khatun, 20.
The officer-in-charge (OC) of Mirpur Police Station Golam Mostafa said twenty years old Shantona Khatun hanged herself after a quarrel with her mother at about 12 noon.
Unable to bear the news of her daughter’s suicide, Mostafa got a sudden heart attack and died.
