A fake doctor has been caught in Kushtia. Who even did not even cross the boundaries of Secondary School certificate examination (SSC). However, he comfortably using an MBBS, MCPS degree in medicine, has been undergoing treatment in Kushtia for about 5 years. Earlier, he had given such treatment in other districts for about 5 more years. His name is MKH Khan Bijoy.

The district administration’s mobile court on Monday handed him over to police with two years’ imprisonment. At the same night, a court in Kushtia sent him to jail.

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-12) Kushtia Commander Major Mahfuzur Rahman said they had enough information about the matter and conducted drive at a private hospital called Kushtia Orthopedic and General Hospital on Monday afternoon. The hospital is located next to the Homoeopathic Medical College on the Kushtia-Rajbari Highway.

In Rab questions, Bijoy he was hailed at Gowainghat upazila of Sylhet. He claimed to have studied MBBS from a private East-West Medical College in Sylhet. He also showed the certificate. Also show a registration card issued by Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC).

The RAB official said that when the registrar of BMDC was contacted, he reviewed the documents and confirmed MKH Khan Bijoy as a fake doctor. After verifying the registration card issued by BMDC, it was found that it belonged to a doctor of Satkhira district who was a student of Suhrawardy Medical College, Dhaka.

Kushtia district administration executive magistrate Sabuj Hasan led the operation. Dr. Rakibul Hasan was the representative of Kushtia Civil Surgeon. They also confirmed the matter.
According to RAB, Bijoy also got married in Kushtia two years ago. That’s where he lived. He owned also an expensive alien car.

On the other hand, he built a hospital by lending a house. The hospital has an operating theater, cabins and beds. He was doing everything from diagnostics to surgery.

Magistrate Sabuj Hasan sentenced him to two years in prison after he pleaded guilty in a mobile court. At the same time, the court fined the house owner Saidul Islam Tk 1 lakh for collaborating with him in this crime.

He was taken to Kushtia Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court at night. From there he was sent to prison.
