Death toll crossed 100 in Kabul attack

The death toll of suicide bombing at Kabul airport has exceeded 100. Of those identified, 90 are Afghan civilians and 13 are US troops.

This information was reported by the US media Wall Street Journal.

More than 150 people have been injured so far in the horrific bombing. US officials also confirmed that 18 U.S. soldiers and employees were among the wounded.

Meanwhile, the United States is fearing more attacks in the ongoing situation after the attack. Gen. Frank McKenzie, the U.S. Marine commander, confirmed the information to reporters.
According to media reports, two consecutive explosions took place at Kabul airport around 6 pm on Thursday. The first blast occurred near the Abbey Gate. Where US and British forces were in charge of the airport. There were also shootings after the attack. Shortly afterwards, a second explosion ripped through the Baron Hotel. Where British officials were providing much-needed assistance to Afghans hoping to travel to the UK.

Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden has reacted angrily to the barbaric attack. He also said that those responsible for the attack would be found and punishment would be ensured.

Joe Biden said, ‘We will not forgive. We will not forget this attack. We must find the perpetrators and pay the price. ”

The US president has hinted that the Taliban may have escaped from captivity after the capture of Kabul. He blamed IS group for the attack.

However, the militant group has claimed responsibility for the twin attacks in Kabul before Biden.
