Police recovered the hanging body of a housewife just ten days after the wedding at a village in Kumarkhali upazila in Kushtia on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Rima Khatun, 20, wife of Piyas Ali Jorapur in the upazila.

According to the family sources of the deceased, Rima, daughter of Rezaul Islam of Ber Kalua village of the upazila was married to Piyas only ten days ago.

Rima was married again before this. A chaos was created when Piays came to know the matter of previous marriage of Rima.

According to the in-laws, the bride committed suicide by hanging herself over the quarrel. However, Rima's relatives complained that Rima was killed and her body was hung.
Kumarkhali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mojibur Rahman said the exact cause of death would be known after the autopsy report.
