The government gas set a minimum fee of Tk. 200 for the identification test of Covid-19.
A circular in this regard has been issued by the Health Services Department of the ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday (June 26).
It further said that the money collected for the corona test should be deposited in the government treasury (Code-1-2615-0000-173).
According to circular, Tk 200 will have to pay for testing samples collected from booths, TK. 500 for testing samples collected from home and Tk 200 for testing of hospitalized patients.
At present the government is giving this test for free. As a result, most of the people are taking the opportunity to get tested without any symptoms.
In this situation, the fee has been fixed with the consent of the Finance Department in order to avoid unnecessary Covid test for control and proper management of the disease infection.
Under the Medical Facilities Rules-1974, all medical facilities for government officials and employees will remain in force. Besides, the government order regarding treatment and diagnosis of freedom fighters, distressed and poor patients will remain in force. This rate has been fixed for all government hospitals.
