The government has already made it mandatory to wear masks everywhere for fear of the second phase of coronavirus becoming more aggressive in the just coming winter. All religious institutions are also required to wear masks. The cabinet said, “No mask, no service.” Wearing mask is mandatory. The administration is being strict in implementing it.
Earlier, a circular was issued by the Ministry of Health in this regard. It is said that the government has made it compulsory to wear masks everywhere during the Corona period.
This is the government's directive to comply with hygiene rules in the event of a coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic. Total 12 places have been specified in the circular.
(1) Officers and employees working in government, semi-government, autonomous and private offices and service recipients coming to the concerned office shall wear masks compulsorily. The concerned authorities will confirm the matter.
(2) The service recipients coming to all the health care centers including public and private hospitals must wear masks. The concerned hospital authorities will confirm the matter.
(3) The use of masks in all religious places of worship, including educational institutions, mosques, temples and churches, must be ensured. The local administration and the concerned steering committee will confirm the matter.
(4) In shopping mall where Buyers and sellers must use masks. The local authority and the market management committee will confirm the matter.
(5) Buyers and sellers will use masks in the market. Buyers and sellers will not buy or sell any product without wearing a mask. The local administration and hatbazar committee will confirm the matter.
(6) The use of masks for drivers, drivers' assistants and passengers of public transport (road, sea, rail and air) must be ensured. Passengers must wear a mask before boarding public transport. The concerned authorities, law enforcement agencies and the owners will ensure the matter.
(6) The use of masks by workers in all industries, including garment factories, must be ensured. The concerned authorities and owners will confirm the matter.
(6) Hawker, all pedestrians including rickshaw and van drivers will wear mask. The matter will be confirmed by the law enforcement agencies.
(9) People working in hotels and restaurants must wear masks during public gatherings. The matter has to be confirmed by the local administration and the concerned owners association.
(10) People who come to all kinds of social events must wear masks. The matter will be confirmed by the head of the concerned institution.
(11) If there is any patient at home with corona symptoms, healthy family members will use the mask.
(12) It is mentioned in the circular that this circular is applicable to all living in Bangladesh. Healthy family members will use the mask if there is any patient.
