The ongoing ban on corona, which was imposed from April 5, has been extended by another point till May 16. It was extended several times until May 5.

Cabinet Secretary of the government Khandaker Anwarul Islam after a cabinet meeting at the Secretariat on Monday (May 3rd) has served it to the journalists.

He said public transport will run from May 6. However, the vehicles cannot go from one district to another. Launches and trains will be remained as closed.

The cabinet secretary said the launch and train services would remain closed, adding that the decision would remain in effect till May 18. From today, the police and local administration will conduct operations in the market.

If anyone in the business hub don’t wear mask, if does not follow the hygiene rules, the market will be closed.

He said garment workers could not be given more than three days off this Eid.

The secretary said, ‘The owners of public transport have promised us that there will be no violation of hygiene rules in public transport. If it happen, they will be stopped. We will see that. ‘

Asked if there was any decision on the closure of government offices, Khandaker Anwarul Islam said, “Those will remain as they are.”
