Around 3,485 people have been affected in Covid-19 in 111 days in 10 districts of Khulna division.

Of these, 52 people have died.

Khulna Divisional Health Department sources said that 43 percent of the number of patients in the 10 districts is only in Khulna district alone. Kushtia is in second of the list.

A total of 1,496 people have been infected in Khulna so far. This is the highest across the entire division.

Among the other districts of the division are 180 in Bagerhat, 162 in Satkhira, 490 in Jessore, 180 in Jhenaidah, 98 in Magura, 134 in Narail, 536 in Kushtia, 206 in Chuadanga and 59 in Meherpur.

A total of 52 people died in Corona in the division in the said period.

The highest death toll was 19 in Khulna and six in Kushtia, Jessore and Narail. Besides, 5 patients died in Meherpur, 3 in Bagerhat and 2 each in Jhenaidah, Magura and Chuadanga.

No corona patient died in Satkhira.

The total number of recoveries in 10 districts of the division is 635.

Khulna Divisional Health Director Rasheda Sultana said the rate of corona infection in Khulna Division has been rising rapidly for weeks. Khulna district has been identified the most among the divisions.

Therefore, three areas of Khulna have been brought under severe lockdown. Then there is Kushtia district. Here the identification of Corona patients are gradually increasing.

The number of victims was 38 last Thursday and 39 more on Friday. Forty one areas in the district have been declared red zones.
