Covid-19/ A Kushtia police camp came under full lockdown

A police camp in Kushtia has fully been locked down. The camp is Khalisakundi police camp in Daulatpur upazila.
Police sources said the camp brought under lockdown after six of the 12 members of the camp were being hit by a corona.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Daulatpur Police SM Arifur Rahman said all activities at the police camp have been stopped.
The OC said total of 13 policemen were on duty at the police camp. One is on vacation.
A policeman was identified as Corona positive in a sample test at Kushtia PCR Lab in last Saturday.
Later, another police member showed corona symptoms. Then all the members of the camp were tested for corona on Sunday. On Monday night, five other policemen, including in-charge of the camp assistant sub-inspector Khorshed Alam, was identified. The police camp was locked down at night and all the members were brought to the Kushtia police line. Everyone is being treated there.
Apart from outpatients, 79 Covid-19 patients have been identified in Kushtia district so far.
