Apprehension of health experts has been truth on Corona infection in Kushtia. Now the Corona patients are increasing at a rapid pace in the district.
On Wednesday (August 5) a total 92 people have been identified as Corona infected in 6 upazilas in the district in last 24 hours. The result came from the sample test of Kushtia Medical College PCR Lab and of the sample sent to Dhaka.
Of those, 64 have been identified in Kushtia and 28 in Dhaka.
With this, the total number of people identified as Corona infected in the district stood at 1044.
On 5 August, a total of 358 samples (Kushtia 174, Chuadanga 96, Jhenaidah 66 and Meherpur 22) were tested in the PPR lab of Kushtia Medical College.
Of the 174 in Kushtia, 64 were identified. Among them 33 were from Kushtia Sadar Upazila, 11 from Kumarkhali Upazila, 4 from Daulatpur Upazila, 12 from Khoksa Upazila, 1 from Bheramara Upazila and 3 from Mirpur Upazila.
On the other hand, 40 new corona patients have been identified from Chuadanga district, 36 from Jhenaidah district and 3 from Meherpur district. Follow-up report of 6 people of Chuadanga district is positive. The results of the rest are found to be negative.
