Kushtia district is gradually moving towards the risk of severe corona. The number of victims in the district has doubled again in last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, a 2-year-old child died in Chuadanga after being affected with the virus.
The health experts fear the severity will increase the days coming. Meanwhile, the intensity of corona has also increased in 48 hours in neighboring Chuadanga, Jhenaidah and Meherpur districts.
A total of 282 samples (145 of Kushtia, 57 of Chuadanga and 60 from those abroad-goer) were tested on April 4 in the PCR lab of Kushtia Medical College. Of these, 30 samples from Kushtia district, 11 samples from Chuadanga district and 06 samples from those who wanted to go abroad tested positive.
Health experts are not seeing this increase as normal. They said that the situation in Kushtia in particular is not very good.
Former principal of Kushtia Medical College Professor SM Mostanjid Lotus said the amount of increasing is finally alarming. He said the number of people infected would be higher if more people were tested. This means that the number of infected people is huge. Numerous infected people are roaming around us.
He said it is necessary to be extremely aware now. The health expert advised to avoid all kinds of formal crowds and to maintain social distance.
Kushtia Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Saudur Islam made the same call.
He said there is absolutely no alternative to surviving this infection without awareness. He urged the people of Kushtia to abide by the Corona rules.
