It was thought that the coronavirus (Covid-19) infection in the country has started to decrease gradually. But it has now started to infect again. In the last 24 hours, corona infection has been detected in 1,066 people. As of now, the infection rate has again exceeded 6 percent daily.
In the last 24 hours, 13 people have died from the virus. With this, 8,515 people have lost their lives in the country so far. This information has been given in a press release from the Department of Health to inform the latest situation of coronavirus infection and death.
According to the notification, 1,066 new people have been identified in the country in 24 hours till 8 am on Friday. The highest number of patients in Covid-19 has been identified in the last 24 hours in the last 24 months. A total of 5 lakh 55 thousand 222 people have been affected by corona in the country so far with the new 108.
Earlier on Wednesday (March 10), the Department of Health said in a statement that two months later, more than a thousand corona patients had been identified in a single day. Total 1018 people were identified that day. But the next day (March 11) the number increased to 1,051. Last Friday (March 12) also broke the previous two-day’s record.
Earlier, on January 10 this year, the Department of Health had identified more patients in a single day, when 1,071 people were infected with the coronavirus. From that day till March 9, the number of patients identified daily in the country was below thousand.
According to the latest data from the Department of Health on Friday, 1,252 more corona patients have been cured in the last 24 hours. So far, a total of 5 lakh 9 thousand 172 corona patients have recovered.
The first case of coronavirus was detected in Bangladesh on March 8 last year. And it crossed 5 lakh quarter last 14 January. Of these, 4,019 corona patients were identified on July 2 last year, which is the highest in a single day.
On March 18 last year, 10 days after the first patient was identified, the Department of Health confirmed the first death report in the country. On January 23 this year, it exceeded eight thousand. Of these, 64 deaths were reported on June 30 last year, the highest in a single day.
