The first committee of Officers Association has been formed at Chittagong Medical University. The committee was approved and announced on Thursday (November 24) by Mir Morshedur Rahman, secretary general of the Bangladesh Inter-University Officers Federation and general secretary of the Kushtia Islamic University Officers’ Association.

Mir Morshedur Rahman was present as the chief guest at the meeting.

Earlier, a general meeting was held in the presence of officials of the university. There was no association of officers in Chittagong Medical University.

At the end of the meeting, the committee was unanimously announced.

Dr. Irene Sultana, younger sister of Information Minister Hasan Mahmud MP was elected president of the committee, while AM Shahadat Hossain Jewel, former General Secretary of Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Officers’ Association was elected General Secretary.

Among others, Engineer Syed Mohammad Ikram, Vice President of Bangladesh Inter-University Officers Federation (BABIF) and President of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology Officers Association, Vice President and President of BABIF also president of Maulana Bhasani University of Science and Technology Officers Association Mofizul Islam (Majnu), Organizing Secretary of BABIOF Nazrul Islam (Hira), General Secretary of Chittagong University Officers ‘Association Muhammad Hamid Hasan Nomani and Abu Mohammad Arif, General Secretary of Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Officers’ Association were present the meeting as special guests.
