A Bangladesh border guard team recovered 2 kg gold’s bar from the street. The worth of the gold is about 1.5 crore.
Chuadanga-6 BGB director Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Khalequzzaman said in a press release that the operation was carried out on Phulbari road in Buchitala village of Darshana police station on Thursday night on the basis of secret information about gold smuggling.
Sensing the presence of BGB members, the smugglers fled.
Later, 11 gold bars weighing 2 kg 417 grams (206 bhari 02 anna 02 ratti) were recovered from the road in an abandoned condition.
The recovered gold has been handed over to Darshan police station.
