Newly appointed Chief Justice Hasan Foyez Siddique has been drenched with love of thousands of people in his village home, his birth place.

This Friday morning he went to his village Ramanathpur in Khoksa upazila of the district by road from Kushtia Circuit House. He was born and raised to this village. Although he was in capital city Dhaka due to his career, he always ran to his village whenever he had time. So he had a close relationship with the people of the village. He also mentioned it in various speeches at different times.

When he reached there, thousands of people welcomed him. Though it was prohibitions of protocols as well as restriction of gathering due to Covid-19, but emotions of his village people have not stopped. It was like a breaking tide. People who were so close to him kept coming one by one. Numerous people, relatives, friends and well-wishers from all over the area attended. Some come with flowers in hand, some with a gentle greeting of love.  He exchanged greetings throughout the day. A man of integrity, honesty and responsibility, cared all once. He also looked after some people and asked them to come home to him.

This is how it goes all day. He told to them his stories of the days of childhood and adolescence. He also remembered his parents. His father, the late Abdul Gafur Mollah, was one of the organisers of the great war of liberation.

Throughout the day, people bless this man with all their heart. They wish him for more achievement. The Chief Justice was also repeatedly overwhelmed with emotion. He expects blessings and wishes from everyone.
