Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has arrested two Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leaders with drugs from a border of Kushtia’s Daulatpur upazila on Saturday night.
The BCL men were identified as Ejaz Mahmud Ani, general secretary of Kushtia Islamia College unit Chhatra League and Amir Hossain, an activist.
Ejaz Mahmud Ani, son of Golam Siddik was hailed at Thanapa area of Kushtia town while Amir, son of Ramzan Ali was hailed at Jugia, outskirts of the town.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Daulatpur Police Station Zahurul Alam told that a BGB team of Kushtia sector caught them at Ghonapara border at about 12.30:pm. During search, BGB recovered 6 bottles of Phensidyls from their possession.
The border guard seized their motorbike they were carrying.
They were handed over to Daulatpur police station with a case filed by BGB on the night.
A Kushtia court sent them to jail in the afternoon.
