People of Bangladesh will get free corona virus (Covid-19) vaccine. It is known that in all the countries of the world where the per capita income is less than four thousand dollars, the vaccine will be given for free. Bangladesh’s per capita income is near to two thousand US dollars. The government has a plan to gradually distribute the vaccine to at least 70 percent of the people in the country.
The Secretary of the Department of Health Services Abdul Mannan told it when was speaking at an online meeting of the Covid-19 control advisory committee on Monday (July 20th).
The secretary said there are about three lakh kits in stock at present. Even then, more kit import activities are continuing. If we have to test 10 thousand per day, we can run it for at least one more month with the stored kit.
“Of course we will be able to import some more kits. So there is no crisis in corona test in the country. Of course, more initiatives will be taken to increase the corona test,” he said.
