Bangladesh government stood by India with medical equipment in this catastrophe of coronavirus. Several medical aid equipment was sent to India through Benapole land port at 4pm on Thursday (May 6).
The medical supplies include about 10,000 antiviral injections and oral medications, 30,000 pieces of PPE, a few thousand zinc, calcium, vitamin C and other essential tablets.
Deputy Commissioner of Customs House in Benapole Neyamul Islam said he received a mail in the morning regarding medical equipment going to India. As soon as the consignment reached Benapole port, the paperwork formalities started. All concerned have been instructed to ensure that the equipment reaches India quickly.
