Eminent writer and researcher Dr. Amanur Aman says Bangabandhu inspired the thousand-year history of a nation with national consciousness. This national consciousness was like a magic which nursed up a nation to form an independent nation. This nation is the Bengali nation. An independent nation on an independent continent.
He said, however, people had to pay ocean of blood for it. And in the end, the architect of this freedom has to die. Dr. Aman called that the assassination of Bangabandhu was the most brutal of all the political assassinations in the subcontinent. He said that even if thousands of people were hanged, the responsibility of killing Bangabandhu have to bear by every Bengali as long as this land remains.
Dr. Aman was speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting on National Mourning Day. Kushtia Public School, a private educational institutions of the city, organized the discussion meeting. Ahead of the discussion, a group led by the school directors paid homage to the sculpture of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman along with the school teachers.
Later a discussion meeting was held at the school.
Imtiaz Sultan, Managing Director of the School Management Committee presided over the discussion. Dr. Aman also and chairman of Kushtia Public School was present as the chief guest. Director (Education) Sheikh Sahabuddin, Director (Finance and ICT) Abul Kalama Azad, teachers Kaniz Fatema and Rusia Khatun also made their speech.
The program was conducted by Arifur Rahman, Vice-Principal (Acting) of the school.
In his speech, Dr. Amanur Aman told that Bangabandhu created an independent nation with nationalism. Every Bengali should remember this contribution of Bangabandhu forever. He said there is no room for the slightest dispute here.
He called upon this generation to be inspired by the ideals of Bangabandhu and devote themselves to building the country.
