Kushtia District Bangabandhu Parishad organized discussion meeting and prayer mahfil on National Mourning Day.
Leaders and activists of Sonali Bank and Agrani Bank Bangabandhu Parishad Unit also took part in the event.
At the end of the discussion, tribute was paid to the sculpture of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Advocate Shamsur Rahman Babu, General Secretary of District Bangabandhu Parishad presided over the discussion, eminent writer and researcher also editor and publisher of Bangla Daily the Dainik Kushtia and English weekly The Kushtia Times also joint general secretary of the district Bangabandhu Parishad Dr. Amanur Aman was chief guest at the programme. Advocate Nazrul Islam Sarkar, Vice-President, Kushtia District Branch, Bangabandhu Parishad was chief discussant there while Saiful Islam Sumon, General Secretary of Agrani Bank Unit Bangabandhu Parishad and Mukul Hossain, President of Sonali Bank Bangabandhu Parishad Unit were special guests.
The chief guest Amanur Aman in his speech said that Bangabandhu broke the thousand year subjugation of Bengalis. That is why he is the best Bengali of a thousand years. He called upon every person dedicated to different sectors of the society to devote themselves to building the country under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, daughter of bangbandhu. Only then Bangabandhu’s unfinished work will come to an end.
He also said the nation is united today under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. Everyone must be united in building the country. We have to stand by the side of the poor and the people of the society lives in the lane. This was Bangabandhu’s dream.
