Two people including a freedom fighter have died in Chuadanga with the symptomps of Coronavirus.
Hamza Ali, 65, and Shafiul Azam, 45, died at the Chuadanga Sadar Hospital at the Corona Isolation Ward around 11pm on Thursday and 4am on Friday respectively.
Freedom fighter Hamza Ali is the son of late Adalat Ali of Hatikata village in Sadar upazila and Shafiul Azam is the son of Abdul Motaleb of Ramnagar village in Damurhuda upazila.
Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of Chuadanga Sadar Hospital Dr Shamim Kabir said Hamza Ali was admitted to Sadar Hospital on Wednesday afternoon and Shafiul Azam on Thursday afternoon with fever, cold and shortness of breath.
Hamaz was taken to the yellow zone of Corona ward due to corona symptoms.
Samples have been collected from their bodies. Samples will be sent to PCR Lab of Kushtia Medical College for testing. Their burial will be done in accordance with the hygiene rules, RMO said.
