Police arrested 6 gamblers including two school teachers in Khoksa upazila in Kushtia on Thursday.
Officer-in-Charge (OC-Investigation) of Khoksa police station Idris Ali told that five people, including two school teachers, had set up a gambling court at Ganeshpur Bazar in Osmanpur Union of the upazila around 11:30 am on Thursday.
Police raided the place on a tip-off and arrested.
The arrested are Hafizur Rahman Saheb, 56, assistant head teacher at Chandat Yakub Ali Secondary School and Abu Naser Hasan Zahid, 57, assistant teacher of the same school. Md. Saidul Islam (45) son of late Abul Hossain of Ajail village, Md. Mahbubur Rahman (48) of the same village, Rahim Saha of Ganeshpur village (60), Sumon son of Shahadat Hossain (35) and Hashim Reza (22) son of Md. Aman Box.
The OC said a case has been filed against them.
They were sent to Kushtia Court on Friday (August 6th).
