The online admission process for class XI in the 2020-2021 academic year will start from August 9. It will continue till September 15.
The decision was taken at an online meeting chaired by Education Minister Dipu Moni.
This was informed in the statement of the Ministry of Education on Sunday (July 19).
After the results of SSC and equivalent examinations were released on May 31, the admission process was supposed to start centrally in the first week of June, but it was not possible due to the closure of educational institutions due to the coronavirus.
A total of 20 lakh 40 thousand 28 students took part in the examination in 10 boards this year. Out of which 16 lakh 90 thousand 523 students passed.
For the last few years, students are being admitted through online in class XI.
A student can apply to a maximum of 10 colleges. However, out of the number of colleges a student will apply for, he is given the opportunity to be admitted in only one college on the basis of his merit and preference.
