Former Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS).
A notification has been issued by the Information Ministry on Wednesday (July 15).
A 13-member board of directors has been formed under the leadership of Arefin Siddique, a former professor in the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at Dhaka University.
The other members of the Board are Abul Kalam Azad, Managing Director and Chief editor, BSS, Joint Secretary (Press), Ministry of Information, one representative with at least Joint Secretary post in Finance Department, one representative with at least Joint Secretary post in Public Security Department, one representative with at least Joint Secretary post in Foreign Ministry, Chief Information Officer, Mohammad Atiqullah Khan Masud, Editor of Daily Janakantha, Altamash Kabir, Editor of Daily Sangbad, MA Malek, Editor of Daily Azadi, Chittagong, Mozammel Haque, Managing Director of 71 Media Limited (71 TV), City Editor Madhusudan Mandal.
The board has been constituted for three years.
