A meeting with the aim of establishing good governance in the institutional system was held in the university as part of implementation of the National Integrity Strategy (NIS) Action Plan 2022-2023. Key stakeholders of NIS at the university took part in it.
The meeting was held in the 3rd floor meeting room of the Administration Building on November 28.
Islamic University APA (Annual Performance Agreement) Team Convener Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman in the chair, the meeting was graced by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shaikh Abdus Salam as chief guest and Treasurer Professor Dr. Alamgir Hossain Bhuiyan as special guest.
In the speech of the chief guest, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shaikh Abdus Salam said that we are doing many things within the limitations. Achieving success by working within limitations is called skill. The National Integrity Strategy tells us of this skill.
He said as an educational institution we are to make an annual performance agreement with the University Grants Commission (UGC) every year. We come up with what we will do every year in terms of education, research, course curriculum, co-curricular activities etc.
The vice chancellor told that the certified soft copy and hard copy of those works should be submitted within the specified time.
“We have to bring our work to the attention of the authorities. In this way we will be able to ensure the goal of imparting quality education, Vice Chancellor went on.
Special guest Treasurer Professor Dr. Alamgir Hossain Bhuiyan emphasized on bringing good outcome at any cost this year in the annual performance. He thinks it will be possible if everyone cooperates.
In conclusion Pro Vice Chancellor also chair of the meeting Professor Dr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman said, we want to make APA activities more dynamic. Everyone should be responsible for that. He also urged to submit the details of the activities on time.

Faculty Deans, Department Chairs and Heads of Offices and Focal Point Officials of APA concerned committees were present in the meeting.
