A female teacher of Kushtia Zilla School was killed in Kushtia town. Police recovered her body from her own house at Housing D Block area of the Kushtia town Monday.
The deceased Roksana Khanam (52), is a senior teacher at Kushtia Zilla School.
Police said she was killed by a hit to the head.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kushtia Model Police Station Delwar Hossain said the deceased’s husband, Mostafizur Rahman, worked as an accountant in the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) in Jasjore. They have no children.
Mostafizur comes to Kushtia once or twice in month. Sometimes Rokmana’s mother-in-law accompanies her. Noe she is in Dhaka. Roksana was alone at home. Neighbors informed the police after not getting Roksana’s response in the morning.
Breaking the opened door, police recovered body.
OC said marks of injuries by hit of something was marled on Roksaa’s head and other parts.
Relatives said, Roksana was a very good in behaviour. It is not known that there was enmity with anyone.
The OC said police have started an investigation.
