It has been almost 2 months the Islamic University was opened after Covid-19 epidemic. But  the central cafeteria of the university is still closed. As a result, students have been suffering immensely.

Besides, the students have to buy low quality food from outside shops and hotels and on they are to count the extra money.

The central cafeteria is located in the TSCC of the university. A director has also been appointed here. But there are allegations that he does not take proper care of his office. There are also several senior officials here. However, it is known that one of the officers does not hold office properly.
Visiting TSCC on Tuesday, it was seen that the basins, chairs and benches were lying there untidy and randomly. Where students are supposed to be lively with gossip, songs and chats, piles of rubbish can be found there, the heart of campus culture.

Some students said that students usually come to the cafeteria for cheaper and better quality food than the hotels. But since it is closed, they are forced to buy food from outside shops at higher prices.

When asked, TSCC Deputy Registrar Sudeb Kumar Biswas (Debu) told that he cafeteria cannot be opened due to noise, dust, etc. for the upward expansion work of TSCC.

He said there was talk of opening the cafeteria by January.

However, TSCC director Ruhul Quddus Saleh was not found there. No one in the office could tell when he would arrive. However, an official said without giving his name that he came from time to time.

Deputy Registrar Sudeb Kumar Biswas (Debu) said he has already cleaned a room to revive the TSSC. Regular cultural activities are going on there.
