The Kushtia Chamber of Commerce has given reception to the chairman of BRB Group of industries Mojibor Rahman for his achieving “President’s Industrial Development Award-2019 and the highest income tax payer of Kushtia district in the year of 2020-2.

Mahbubul Alam Hanif, joint general secretary of Bangladesh Awami League and lawmaker of Kushtia-3 was present as chief guest at the event held at DESHA tower in the city on Tuesday night.

The reception was presided over by Rabiul Islam, President of The Kushtia Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

K. M. Sarwar Jahan Badshah, lawmaker of Kushtia-1, Barrister Selim Altaf George, lawmaker of Kushtia-4, General Secretary of Kushtia district unit Awami League Asgor Ali, former principal of Kushtia Medical College also president of Kushtia Nagorik Committee Professor Dr. S.M. Mustanzid, Kushtia Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Ataur Rahman Ata pretended at the programme as special guest.

Prominent businessmen and treasurer of Kushtia district Awami League Ajay Sureka, managing director of Kushtia Sono Hospital Samsul Wase, Advocate Subrata Chakraborty and others also spoke.

Speaking on the occasion, Mojibor Rahman said that the key to any success is hard work and honesty. He said that success and failure of life go hand in hand. Just as it is difficult to understand when success will come, it is also difficult to understand when failure will come.

“I worked hard at one point,” he said. As he said he went around Dhaka city with a loan of five lakh taka with a resort of seven hundred taka only. The loan has been approved for 5 thousand taka only.

“Now I get a loan offer of taka seven thousand crore. I do not take because there is no need. This industrialist, overwhelmed with emotion, said that this is life. But one day I could not buy baby milk. He said that hard work brings success.

Chief guest Mahbubul Alam Hanif said Kushtia has been presented by many in the country and abroad. Kushtia has blossomed by them. The chairman of BRB is one of them. His honesty, devotion has brought him so high today.

“I’m just proud to introduce myself when someone tell me Kushtia is a district of BRB Group,” he said.

He asked the future leaders of Mojibar Rahman’s business group to follow in his father’s footsteps. He urged them to take any new initiative.
