ACC filed case against hospital caretaker for embezzling taka crore in Kushtia

Anti-corruption Commission, Kushtia filed a case against three people including former caretaker of Kushtia general hospital for embezzling crore of taka.

Shahidur Rahman, deputy assistant director of the commission’s Dhaka office, filed the case in the Kushtia Senior Sessions Judge’s Court on Thursday.

The accused are former caretaker of the 250-bed Kushtia General Hospital Hasanuzzaman, former assistant repair cum training engineer HM Abdur Quddus and Jahedul Islam, proprietor of Messrs. Paragon Enterprise in Rajshahi.

Allegation has been brought in the case that the said persons conspired with each other and misappropriated Tk. 1 crore 10 lakh 35 thousand 970 in the name of purchasing medicine for the hospital in the fiscal year of 2018-19.

Al Mujaheed Hossain Mithu, lawyer of ACC in Kushtia toild thgat the court has accepted the case.

However, the court did not fix any date for hearing the case.
