The Covid-19 infection is continuously on increase in 10 districts of Khulna division with death too.

At least 40 more people died in 10 districts under the division in last 24 hours. On Monday (July 5), 51 people died in the division.

Total 5066 samples were tested in 24 hours and 1,865 people were identified as corona. In the previous 24 hours, 1,470 people were identified.

With 40 deaths in the last 24 hours, total 1300 lives were lost in the division.

Khulna divisional health department confirmed this information on Tuesday (July 6).

According to the divisional health director’s office, the highest number of 14 deaths in the last 24 hours has been reported in Khulna. Thirteen people died in Kushtia, six in Jessore, three in Meherpur, one each in Jhenaidah, Bagerhat, Satkhira and Chuadanga.

Meanwhile, Corona’s continued rise has begun to have an adverse effect on healthcare. The number of corona patients in hospitals in different districts is increasing every moment.
Rasheda Sultana, director of the Khulna Divisional Health Department, said the incidence of corona has increased across the division.

Doctors working in government hospitals in different districts have already been attached to the districts where there is a shortage of doctors.

“Hopefully the service infrastructure will be stronger, she said.
