Bangladeshi filmmaker and screenwriter Tasmiyah Afrin Mou and film critic and screenwriter Sadia Khaled Riti have got the opportunity to take script consultancy in Open Doors Remote Consultancy at the prestigious Locarno Film Festival.

They jointly applied to the consultancy. The screenplay titled ‘Crow’ or ‘The Cross’ written jointly by them was selected. Miguel Machalsky is the mentor in this event.

The film will be directed by Tasmiah Afrin Mau.

Note that directors and producers can apply for consultancy on five different topics screenplay, co-production and financing strategies, film editing, international distribution strategies, and legal aspects and contracts.

In recent years, some Asian countries have been gaining importance in this project.

Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam can apply in the feature section.

Applications for the next session of the Locarno Open Doors Consultancy can be made from Monday to Wednesday.

The names of those selected will be announced in August.
