The district administration has imposed a 7-day complete lockdown in the municipal area of Kushtia district to prevent the continued spread of coronavirus.
Kushtia Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Saidul Islam issued a public notice in this regard at 12 midnight on Friday.
The lockdown will remain in effect till June 18, according to the notice.
The mass people is strictly forbidden to come out of the house during this time. Even if come out for emergency work, they have to wear a mask.
According to the public notice issued, shops and shopping malls in the district will remain closed. Any type of vehicles will not operate in Kushtia Municipality area. Medicine stores will be open. The daily necessities such as raw market, retail and wholesale markets will be open. No ceremonies can be held in publicly. Food shops, hotels-restaurants, all kinds of businesses will be closed. Shops, malls, restaurants and other business establishments will remain closed during the seven-day period while no public gathering will be allowed.
However, emergency supplies and daily necessities will remain available.
Industries and factories will remain open on the condition of maintaining health guidelines. The workers have to be transported by private vehicles.
Industrial production will continue in accordance with the health rules as before. However, the factory workers have to be brought in the company’s own transport.
