Another 72 Bangladeshi national stranded in India returned home through Chuadanga’s Darshana check post from Tuesday morning to evening.
One of them has been identified as Corona positive.
Convener of Chuadanga District Corona Control and Prevention also Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Monira Parveen confirmed the matter and said they have been taken to Chuadanga Technical Training Center (TTC). There they will be in quarantine for 14 days.
Meanwhile, the woman identified as Corona has been taken to the isolation ward of Chuadanga Sadar Hospital. She is a woman from Bramhinbaria district.
When Bangladeshis arrive at the Darshana check post, they are subjected to health screening and coronavirus testing. A team of physicians from Damurhuda Upazila Health Complex led by Dr. Tariqul Islam and Dr. Asif Iqbal examined their health.
Dr. Tariqul Islam said the woman found corona positive would be checked if there were any Indian variants in her body.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Abdul Alim, Immigration In-Charge of Darshana Joynagar checkpost said 48 men and 26 women were among those who came with a no-objection letter (NOC) from the Deputy High Commission office of Bangladesh to Kolkata, India.
With this, a total of 83 Bangladeshis returned to the country through Darshana check post.
