Ongoing vacation in educational institutions has been extended till May 29. The decision was announced in a notification signed by Education Ministry Information and Public Relations Officer MA Khair on Saturday (May 15th) night.
The statement said, “As the recent Covid-19 epidemic has been on the rise all over the world, including Bangladesh, the health and overall safety of students, teachers, staff and parents and in consultation with the National Advisory Committee on Covid-19, all secondary and higher secondary education The holiday has been extended till May 29.
“During this time, online education activities will continue and teachers, students and parents will abide by the hygiene rules,” the statement said.
The government announced the reopening of schools, colleges and universities on May 23 and May 24 after Eid, as corona infections seen declined in February. However, with the onset of the second wave of corona, the number of infections and deaths increased and a new holiday was announced.
After the corona infection appeared in the country on March last year, the educational institution was declared closed from March 18.
