In the third phase, a notification has been issued in lockdown keeping all the previous restrictions in force. A notification has been issued by the Cabinet Division on Wednesday (April 28) extending the duration of the ongoing ban till May 5.
As per the instructions of the notification, the prohibition will be in force from midnight on April 26 to midnight on May 5 by attaching the following conditions. These are
1. Any person entering Bangladesh from India (excluding transportation of goods) by land, sea and air is prohibited. However, only Bangladeshis whose visas have expired can enter Bangladesh with special consideration subject to obtaining permission / no-objection clearance from the Bangladesh High Commission in India. In this case, the Health Services Department, Public Safety Department, Security Services Department, Ministry of Shipping and the concerned Deputy Commissioners will take necessary steps to strictly follow the rules and regulations made by the Department of Health regarding the 14-day quarantine of those entering Bangladesh.
2. Shopping malls can be kept open from 10 am to 8 pm subject to proper hygiene. The management committee of the concerned market / organization including the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Labor and the concerned trade organization will take necessary steps regarding the observance of hygiene rules. Legal action will be taken against those who disobey the instructions.
3. The upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr prayers should be carried out in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Passengers from the Middle East, Singapore, Malaysia and China will be in quarantine at home for 14 days with non-Covid-19 certification, including vaccination certificates. In that case they have to inform the concerned police station about the arrival and quarantine.
4. Only non-code-19 certificate holders from the mentioned countries will be in the quarantine system prescribed by the government. If the doctors examine them within 3-5 days and give their consent, they will be in quarantine for 14 days in their respective homes. However, even in that case, they have to inform their respective police stations.
5. Passengers from other countries will be quarantined for 14 days at a government-designated hotel at their own expense.
