At least 15 ministers and MPs in the country have been attacked in Covid-19. Meanwhile, tTwo of them died.

Narail-2 MP and former national cricket team captain Mashrafe bin Mortuza was freshly attacked on Saturday (June 20th).

In addition, several former ministers-MPs and their family members have been affected by the corona.Among the victims are Liberation War Affairs Minister AQM Mozammel Haque and his wife Laila Arjumand Banu, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Bir Bahadur Ushaising and State Minister for Religion Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah.

Among them Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah has died. He was a minister in the technocrat quota. Mohammad Nasim, a former minister and member of the presidium of the Awami League elected from Sirajganj, died of a stroke after suffering a stroke.

Mashrafe bin Mortuza has been suffering from fever for the last 2-3 days. With that was body pain. He later gave samples for Corona test last Thursday (June 18). On Friday, Mashrafe’s corona test report came positive. He is currently in isolation at home in Dhaka.

Earlier on Friday, former minister engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain contracted the coronavirus. He is currently serving on the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives. He is the father-in-law of Saima Wazed Hossain Putul, daughter of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. It has already been reported that the coroner’s report of Fardipur-3 MP Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain’s house staff and others has come positive.

Besides, former whip Naogaon-2 MP Shahiduzzaman Sarkar, Railway Ministry Affairs Committee Chairman ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, Jessore-4 MP Ranjit Kumar Roy, Chittagong-6 MP Moslem Uddin and his family, Jamalpur-2 MP Faridul Haque Khan Dulal, Chittagong-16 MP said. Mostafizur Rahman and his family, Mohammad Ebadul Karim Bulbul of Brahmanbaria-5 constituency, Abdus Shahid, vice-president and Mokabbir Khan, MP of Gana Forum are undergoing treatment. Besides, 94 officials and employees of the National Assembly are in isolation after being attacked by Corona.

Meanwhile, after receiving positive reports from family members, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, Deputy Minister for Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Nawfel, Bagerhat-1 MP Sheikh Helal Uddin, MP Sheikh Tanmoy, Jessore-3 Awami League’s Kazi Nabil Ahmed, Rajbari-1 MP Kazi Keramat Ali About 40 ministers and MPs, including Ahsanul Islam Titu of Tangail-6 constituency, have been requested not to attend the session. Their families, drivers or close relatives have been asked not to attend the current budget session of Parliament due to coronary heart disease and health reasons.
