Kushtia District Administration has celebrated the historic 7th March with due manner. The celebrations began with the laying of wreaths at the mural of Father of the Nation located at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in the morning. A discussion meeting was organized on this occasion.

Deputy Commissioner Saidul Islam paid homage on behalf of Kushtia district administration at 8:am. Kushtia Police Superintendent Khairul Alam paid homage with flowers at the time. Silence was observed in homage to the memory of Bangabandhu and prayers were offered for the forgiveness of the departed soul of the Father of the Nation.

Kushtia deputy commissioner and senior officials were present at the time. Besides, after paying homage to the officials of the district administration, the leaders and activists of the district Muktijoddha Sangsad, various political, social and allied organizations paid homage to the mural with flowers.

Apart from Kushtia Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Saidul Islam and Kushtia District Superintendent of Police Khairul Alam, Kushtia District Awami League President Alhaj Sadar Uddin Khan, Kushtia District Awami League General Secretary freedom fighter Asgar Ali, Kushtia District Bar Association President Advocate Asam Akhtaruzzaman Masum spoke on the occasion.
