Indian Asst. High Commissioner to visit Kuthibari and Jatin’s birthplace

Assistant High Commissioner of Indian to Rajshahi Sanjeev Bhati arrived in Kushtia on Saturday (February 27th) for a short visit.

He visited the ancestral house of world poet Rabindranath Tagore in Shilaidaha and the birthplace of revolutionary Bagha Jatin, one of the warriors of the anti-British movement in the Indian subcontinent.

He supervised the progress of the construction of buildings at Shilaidaha Kuthibari with the assistance of the Government of India. These are scheduled to be inaugurated this month.

On the other hand, he spent some time in the birthplace of the revolutionary Bagha Jatin. There he exchanged views with people from different walks of life in the area. He also looked around at Jatin’s birthplace. He expressed the interest of the Indian government to do something as the people of the area desire.
