Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen and US Secretary of State Anthony J. Blinken had a phone conversation.

It said the two foreign ministers discussed ways to deepen economic ties, counter-terrorism activities and defense co-operation between the two countries.
They also called for working together to address common challenges such as climate issue.
Abdul Momen and Blinken discussed the situation in Myanmar, especially a sustainable solution to the Rohingya refugee crisis.
At the same time, emphasis was given on respect for labour and human rights.
This year Bangladesh is going to celebrate the golden jubilee of independence. Blinken congratulated Bangladesh Foreign Minister Momen for this.
They also pledged close cooperation to address the challenges of South Asia and the greater Indo-Pacific region, the statement said.
