The first month of the New Year, January may receive several cold waves. The Meteorological Department told this at night.

As there is fog, there is feeling colder. And more than one severe cold wave may come in January. Over the next two days the night temperature may drop a bit more. Then again the temperature is likely to rise slightly.

Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Madaripur, Gopalganj, Srimangal, Rajshahi, Ishwardi, Badalgachhi, Dinajpur, Tentulia, Rajarhat, Barisal and Khepupara areas including Khulna division. The cold snap is likely to continue in some areas, the Meteorological Department said.

Moderate fog can fall anywhere in the river basin. The weather may change slightly over the next three days.
