Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League and lawmaker of Kushtia-3 Mahbub Ul Alam Hanif has said that Kushtia will be a modern city of the future.
He said a planned city was everyone’s expectation and that work is going on for that purpose.
“With overall cooperation of Hon’able prime minsiter Sheikh Hasina, I am continuing my efforts to turn the neglected Kushtia into a model Kushtia city,” Hanif said.
He said this while inaugurating the laying of foundation stone of 4-lane construction work of Jhenidah-Kushtia-Dashuria National Highway (N-704) at Kushtia town on Thursday afternoon.
He said Kushtia was apparently not developing during the previous governments. There were just so many promises. Incumbent Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has developed the entire country. He has already given a lot to this district too. We expect it to expand further.
Asking for everyone’s cooperation in the development of neglected Kushtia, he said he plans to do more for the development of Kushtia.
“The Padma Bridge will bring a lot of benefits to the people of our south-west,” he said.
But it was a challenging issue for the Prime Minister to build this Padma Bridge. There was a lot of talk about it. BNP chairperson Begum Khaloda Zia said if the Padma Bridge is paved, cars will not run and trains will not run. But this bridge is now a reality. This has been possible because of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Everything is possible if there is respect and love for the country.
Not only Padma Bridge, tunnel is being made under Karnafuli River. The development of the country will change in the next two years. In the future, Bangladesh will have a better self-esteem and Bangabandhu’s dream of golden Bengal will be formed. And the people of this Bangladesh will get the benefits.
