The second wave of Coronavirus has started with a clear impact in Kushtia. The past few days have started with little identification, but in the last 24 hours the picture has changed.
It is thinking that the virus will not give any space of spare to Kushtia people. In 24 hours, 17 infected people have been identified in the district. Of which 16 are in Kushtia Sadar.
Meanwhile, district health experts have called for caution again. They say everyone must survive by resisting Corona.
Meanwhile, all concerned authorities including district civil administration are on step to check the situation.
The PCR lab of Kushtia Medical College tested 213 samples (Kushtia 147, Chuadanga 29, Jhenaidah 26 and Meherpur 11) on 22 November. Total 17 people were identified in Kushtia as Corona positive. Of these, 16 are from Kushtia Sadar Upazila and 1 from Kumarkhali Upazila.
On the other hand, 3 new corona patients have been identified in Chuadanga district, 1 in Jhenaidah and 2 in Meherpur district.
Address of 18 people affected in Kushtia Sadar Upazila: 6 in Thana Para, 1 in Chourhas, 1 in Jhaudia, 4 in Kushtia general hospital, 1 in Upazila Road, 1 in Dr. Tafazzal Health Clinic, 1 in Amin Diagnostic and 1 in Kalishankarpur.
In Kumarkhali, 1 person is of Chheuria Mandal Para.
So far, the number of corona positive patients in Kushtia is 3542. A total of 3383 people recovered and a total of 80 people died.
Meanwhile, the district health administration is becoming concerned. Many of them think that the level of infection may become more intense. They called for vigilance. The Residential Medical Officer (RMO) of Kushtia General Hospital Tapash Kumar Sarkar said there were a large number of corona patients in the entire district. But no one knows how much intensity it is. But everyone is moving freely. He advised everyone to keep their physical distance.
Prominent health expert also former principal of Kushtia Medical College Dr SM Mustanjid has urged everyone to wear masks while maintaining physical distance in accordance with the rules. He said the situation would be extremely difficult for everyone if the corona spread here as there were less opportunities for healthcare in the district.
Kushtia Deputy Commissioner Aslam Hossain said the district administration has been working in various ways. Multiple mobile courts are working in the field. He said the people are being fined for disobeying the rules of corona prevention.
The deputy commissioner said if everyone obeyed the rules, Corona would stay away.
