The government has decided to distribute new textbooks to the students in the new year even in the current situation. To this aim, textbooks for pre-primary 5th grade have been sending very soon. Already 1.5 crore primary books have reached 162 upazilas in 34 districts of the country. Another two crore books are on the way.
According to the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB), about two crore more books have been cleared, which will be delivered soon.
A team of three members will be formed separately from DPE to check and select the quality of each press book. They will be monitoring the printing of books round the clock.
